  • S1E1: We're Millennials, Got a Problem?

    Episode 1

    Masakazu is transferred to an izakaya chain due to poor performance at a food manufacturer. He sees an ad for a "rent-an-uncle" service, and calls the service to confide his worries to the "uncle," Aso. In the meantime, Masakazu meets Yamaji, a regular customer of the service and they hit it off.

    Masakazu's coworker, Yamagishi, goes missing after sending a suicidal message to everyone in the company. Masakazu learns of a fatal train accident and assumes that Yamagishi committed suicide. Later, he finds out that Maribu was also born in the "yutori generation."

    Yamagishi is about to sue Masakazu for abuse of power, and Masakazu has to write an unwanted note of apology. Meanwhile, bullying is occurring in Yamaji's class and Yamaji questions the overzealous response of Sakura, a trainee teacher.

    Sakura's boyfriend comes to the school to question Yamaji about his relationship with Sakura. In addition to the commotion, the parents of Yamaji's students complain about the school play. Meanwhile, Masakazu witnesses Miyashita and Yamaji bouldering together.

    Masakazu is worried about his sister, who works at a girls' bar, and asks Aso to scout out the bar. Meanwhile, Masakazu begins to suspect that Yamaji and Miyashita, who go to the same gym, are getting close.

    Masakazu finds out that Maribu is dating Yutori while hiding the fact that he's married. Not wanting to hurt Yutori, Masakazu asks Maribu for a favor. In the meantime, Yamagishi has some doubts about the deal with his business partner and asks Masakazu for advice.

    A company Masakazu used to do business with causes a mass food poisoning. The current manager, Yamagishi, disappears, and Masakazu has to attend a press conference in his place and give an apology. Meanwhile, Akane's father arrives in Tokyo and doesn't know that Masakazu has broken up with her.

    Masakazu's mother is furious at her sons for being so selfish. In the meantime, Maribu changes his job to support his family, but he gets into a dispute with a man who he works with on the job site.

    Maribu's wife is sought after by the immigration authorities for overstaying her visa and disappears. Maribu is also arrested by the police after being caught with an unreasonably high bill. Aso calls in a lawyer, but Maribu's half-brother shows up instead.

    Akane tells Masakazu that she spent the night with Hayakawa. On the day of the wedding reception, Masakazu is still unable to come to terms with his feelings, and on the way to the venue, he suddenly disappears. Yamaji, who is in charge of the event, becomes flustered.
